Separate Together
Innovative Firms 2020

Separate Together, an online family law firm that makes it easy for couples who are on good terms to work together to make their separation official, has launched new products and services over the past 12 months.

These innovative products include:

  • The Ultimate DIY Financial Split Kit, a series of practical individual and joint exercises that provides a structured communication approach to reach a financial agreement together following the AMICABLE method;
  • a DIY solution for Canberrans to prepare their family violence order application paperwork online for free;
  • Separation & Divorce 101 webinar series, which tackles the separation process from start to finish and breaks down the otherwise seemingly complicated and difficult legal concepts into bite-size bits; and
  • Splitit, a buy-now-pay-later solution that utilises the available credit on clients’ cards, with instalment payments.

The firm has streamlined the experience and the way it provides information and services to prospective clients here and abroad, through the use of technology such as e-signing software, videos, Zoom, Appointlet, and document automation. The firm also has a newsletter opt-in subscription to provide subscribers with guidance and relevant information; and has revamped its primary lead generator, The Quiz, with new questions, short explanatory videos, and an improved report to guide prospects on what steps to take.

Separate Together made giving part of its ordinary course of business by partnering with B1G1. Each time a prospect completes The Quiz, the firm provides five days of access to life-saving clean water to children in Tanzania. Also, for every purchase of the webinars, worth $15, the firm provides 30 days of school for a girl in Kenya.
