Michael Tropea is the general counsel and company secretary, and member of the executive committee, of AIA in Australia and New Zealand, with more than 15 years’ experience in life insurance and financial services across the Asia Pacific. Tropea has the overall responsibility for the provision of legal, corporate secretarial, governance, and regulatory advice and guidance to the AIA Australia board of directors and the senior management across the Australian and New Zealand operations of AIA. He is also tasked to formulate the strategic and operational objectives of the AIA legal and corporate governance functions and head the legal and corporate governance team in Australia and New Zealand. This is the second year that Tropea has made it to the ALW In-house Leaders list.
