In-house Leaders 2019

As general counsel at Stanwell Corporation which deals in energy and resources, and more specifically electricity – a highly regulated and dynamic operating environment – Ware is kept on his toes most of the time. His key moments at Stanwell include: contributing to the ACC’s submission to the parliamentary joint committee on corporations and financial services on the inquiry into whistleblower protections in the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors. And, more recently, he was involved in Coronado Global Resources’ initial public offering and $3.87 billion listing on the Australian Securities Exchange. The IPO is the largest metals and mining IPO since 2004 on the ASX. Ware is also the inaugural chair of the Queensland Law Society's in-house counsel committee and chair of the well-being working group.
