Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers
Australia’s Employer of Choice 2019

Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers’ (CGW) paid parental leave, which is in excess of the requirements for length of parental leave and return to work arrangements, gives women the opportunity to spend more time recovering from childbirth and bonding with their children before returning to work. The firm’s policy offers eight weeks of paid leave, a period of paid leave for the non- primary carer to be offered after only one year of service, and superannuation and annual leave to accrue during periods of paid parental leave.

CGW recently partnered with Reconciliation Australia to deliver a Reconciliation Action Plan. It is a framework for the firm to formally support the national reconciliation movement and assist it in developing respectful relationships and creating opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The firm is also proud to have received a citation as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency for 2018/2019. The accolade recognises and promotes active commitment to achieving gender equality in Australian workplaces.
