Rigby Cooke Lawyers has promoted two lawyers to special counsel, beefing up its offerings in commercial property and insolvency.

Angela Foudoulis and Séamus Ryan took up their new positions on 1 July. Foudoulis works with the corporate and commercial team, while Ryan practices across the insolvency and reconstruction and litigation and dispute resolution groups.

Foudoulis focuses on commercial property matters. She has tackled issues involving commercial and retail leasing, property developments, and sales and acquisitions.

Her clients include listed and unlisted property funds and corporations, national retailers and developers, shopping centre owners, state government departments, statutory corporations and private investors.

Ryan is a professional member of the Australian Restructuring, Insolvency & Turnaround Association who has often acted for clients before the Supreme Court and the Federal Court. He assists insolvency practitioners, company directors and individuals with complex commercial disputes.

He advises on the legal aspects and consequences of corporate and personal insolvency.

“Both Angela and Séamus have demonstrated steadfast dedication and commitment to their clients by providing consistently excellent service, and made an outstanding contribution to the firm and, more broadly, the profession,” Rigby Cooke managing partner Bill Karvela said.
