Thomson Geer drives major NSW wind farm to financial close

Thomson Geer has helped a long-time client financially close a major renewable energy project in New South Wales.

The corporate law specialist firm assisted CWP Renewables achieve financial close for the 37-turbine, 135MW Crudine Ridge Wind Farm.

Thomson Geer has been helping CWP with the property aspects of the project since its inception in 2010. Since 2014, the firm has helped CWP reach financial close on three wind farms.

The firm’s team was led by partner Chris Kelly. He was assisted by associates Alexandra Juniper, Jessica Blank, and Antonia Li.

Clifford Chance acted for Partners Group in the establishment of its $700m Grassroots renewable energy platform. The platform currently holds the company’s interests in the 270MW Sapphire Wind Farm and the Crudine Ridge Wind Farm.
