Russell Kennedy adds associate

Russell Kennedy has bolstered its construction and infrastructure team with the addition of Michael Bragg as associate.

Bragg joined the firm after leaving Jackson McDonald in Perth, where he was a solicitor for nearly four years. He advises on both front-end contractual work and construction disputes work. He also acts on property and finance matters.

His practice has served a wide array of clients, including Australian and multi-national corporates, local governments, NGOs, architects, and a university. Bragg has degrees in law and commerce and has also studied engineering and arts.

Bragg joins the construction and infrastructure team, which has been strengthened by the firm with the addition of principal Kyle Gillan from MinterEllison, as well as principal Jos Mulcahy and associate Catherine Duong from Ashurst.

“Michael’s addition to the team supports the strategic growth of our construction and infrastructure practice and our commitment to delivering the best outcomes for our clients in this sector,” Gillan said.

The appointment also comes as Russell Kennedy is in the process of combining with an established Sydney-based boutique.

“The firm is focussed on growing capacity and capability across jurisdictions, in core industries, enhancing and facilitating opportunities for its clients, now and into the future. Russell Kennedy continues to expand in a commercial environment which has delivered significant challenges and opportunities for law firms,” the firm said.
