Major IPO foreshadows ASX trend, top lawyer says

The IPO of Life360, the largest IPO so far on the ASX this year, is a sign of things to come for listing in the exchange.

That’s according to Tony Sparks, who jointly headed the Allen & Overy team with partner Mark Leemen, as they advised Credit Suisse and Bell Potter on the Life360 IPO. The financial institutions were joint lead managers on the $820m IPO, which was conducted after a successful private placement to stockholders in the US late last year.

“This offer will continue a trend of overseas technology companies seeking to list on the ASX as an alternative, or precursor, to listing on NASDAQ or other established exchanges,” Sparks said.
