EY partner bolsters NRF's real estate offering

Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF) has attracted Ernst & Young (EY) partner Astrid Beemster as a real estate partner for its Sydney office.

Beemster brings a wealth of experience in handling real estate transactions and advising on matters involving various asset classes. She has worked with foreign investors in Australian real estate assets, fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, government authorities, high net worth and family offices, as well as major companies and developers in Australia and overseas.

She has particular expertise in guiding capital partnering and transactions for investment funds.  She has also tackled development projects and leasing and asset management. In addition, she has provided advice to large companies on premises requirements.

Beemster has also worked on commercial property deals, rural and agricultural transactions, the property aspects of renewable energy and infrastructure transactions, and build-to-rent and student accommodation. Prior to her stint at EY, she was a partner at DLA Piper and logged a tenure as senior associate at King & Wood Mallesons.

“Astrid has built a strong market reputation in real estate law, and is particularly well known for being a lead legal advisor on major real estate transactions for institutional real estate investors and companies across property and logistics, energy, infrastructure and student accommodation. Her significant experience and complementary skills will bolster our strong national real estate practice,” NRF Australia CEP Alison Deitz commented.
