Homegrown star makes partner at White Fox & Jones

White Fox & Jones has promoted homegrown star Sam Thorp to partner.

Thorp commenced with the firm in 2017 as a junior solicitor. His practice focuses on commercial, business, and property law.

As part of the firm’s commercial property team, he tackles matters involving commercial property, residential property and property development and subdivision law.

"While his specialities lie in commercial and property law, his talents extend to the full scope of practice areas from residential property and construction to wills, trusts and estate administration. Sam’s promotion is an exciting step forward for the firm as we prepare for the future," partner James Leggat said in a statement published by the New Zealand Law Society.

The firm indicated that Thorp's promotion is in line with a strategic move to strengthen its relationships with its long-term clients, many of whom are Canterbury-based families with extensive property, assets, and business interests across multiple generations.
