Maddocks and HWL Ebsworth are welcoming two new partners to their Sydney offices.
Maddocks has announced the appointment of Vanessa Andersen as partner in its Employement, Safety & People practice.
Meanwhile, HWL Ebsworth has appointed Lucas Keogh as its newest Building and Infrastructure partner.
Andersen started her law career at MinterEllison before spending 16 years at Henry Davis York, eventually heading the firm’s Workplace Relations and Safety group.
She has wide-ranging experience in administrative and employment law issues, including general advisory matters, discrimination, employment litigation, industrial relations and executive employment issues.
Andersen, who began this week at the firm, also conducts training for employers and managers on workplace issues such as bullying and harassment and management of performance and conduct issues.
Keogh, who has law and engineering degrees, comes to HWL Ebsworth after a stint as general counsel and company secretary of WesTrac, a supplier to the construction and mining industries of heavy machinery in NSW, WA and North East China, which is part of the Seven Group.
Keogh’s expertise includes adjudications, arbitrations, expert determinations, litigation, and also front-end work. He acts for a range of government and private entities, particularly in relation to technical construction and engineering issues.
