Lawyers from Melbourne and Sydney are among 45 elevated to partner in the firm’s latest promotion round

Three Aussie lawyers join global giant’s partnership
Three Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers in Australia are among the 45 partners the global firm appointed in its most recent promotion round.

Matthew Ellis and Jyoti Singh, both from Melbourne, and James Morris, from Sydney, have been promoted to partner.

Most new partners are from Canada (12), followed by the US (11). Europe has 10 new partners.

The firm has appointed 41 new partners and four to the South African equivalent of director. Most of the firm’s new partners are from the corporate, M&A, and securities and the dispute resolution and litigation practices with 13 apiece.

They are followed by intellectual property (5), banking and finance (4), employment and labour (3), real estate (3), regulation and investigations (2), financial restructuring and insolvency (1), and tax (1). Of all promoted partners, 40% are women.
