KWM snags Clayton Utz partner for ERS practice

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has expanded its employment and industrial relations expertise with the hire of Cilla Robinson from Clayton Utz.

She will commence with KWM Sydney in mid-2024 as a partner in its national employee relations and safety team.

“At a time when board, executive, media and stakeholder attention is focused on the legal and reputational risks of workplace issues, and with industrial relations, employment and discrimination law reforms that will drive a raft of changes to Australia’s labour market, Cilla’s expertise will further bolster our client offering in this critical area”, M&A practice leader Rachael Lewis said.

Robinson brings over two decades of experience to KWM. She has advised both Australian and international clients and served as an adviser to the NSW public sector. She has tackled matters involving industrial unrest, enterprise bargaining, complex employment litigation, and broad-scale business transformations across various sectors. Moreover, she is an expert in the Respect@Work reforms.

While at Clayton Utz, Robinson was a partner who also held several board and leadership roles.
