Richard Francis brings with him 16 years of experience in M&A, ECM and fintech, among others
Addisons has appointed Richard Francis as special counsel, bolstering its corporate and M&A practice.
Before joining the firm, Francis was a lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin. He brings 16 years of experience in private M&A, equity capital markets, funds, fintech, and financial services.
He assists clients from industries like agribusiness, financial services, fintech, investment management, private equity, property, renewables, and startups. He has worked on matters involving the Web3 and FinTech sector.
Addisons highlighted Francis’ experience working with foreign and domestic clients “at all stages of their ‘life cycle’.”
Francis is the fourth senior lawyer to join Addisons’ corporate and M&A practice this year. Before him, the firm welcomed M&A and private equity expert David Stammers, promoted Geri du Plessis to partner, and saw the return of special counsel Robert Dooley to the firm after a stint in Asia.
