Macpherson Kelley bolsters construction and property teams with new special counsels

Macpherson Kelley has bolstered its construction and property teams with the appointments of two new special counsels.

Stephen Pallavicini joined the firm’s property and construction team in Sydney, while Michael Sheehan joined the firm’s construction, infrastructure and energy team in Brisbane.

Pallavicini is a former partner at Eakin McCaffery Cox. He has extensive expertise in capital transactions, property development and leasing retail assets.

He previously worked as a senior in-house counsel at Woolworths and Stockland for 18 years. He also acted for various notable brands such as Coles, David Jones, Zara and H&M.

In 2016, Pallavicini was recognised by the Doyle’s Guide as one of the leading in-house property and real estate lawyers in Australia.

Sheehan is a former senior associate at Mills Oakley. He has dealt with a wide range of legal issues involving construction, engineering and infrastructure.

He previously served as a senior legal counsel at Alstom. He represented clients on numerous infrastructure projects in Queensland, including the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Gold Coast Light Rail, UQ Oral Health Project and Coal Seam Gas infrastructure development.

“Stephen and Michael bring an incredible wealth of knowledge, so clients can be assured that their commercial needs are met with the same bold and considered advice they expect from Macpherson Kelley,” said Grant Guenther, Macpherson Kelley’s national managing principal lawyer.
