Keypoint Law moves to expand Asia-Pacific offerings

Keypoint Law has welcomed a new consulting principal in Brisbane as it looks to expand its offerings in the Asia-Pacific region.

Julie Miehe, a dual French- and Australian-qualified lawyer, has joined the firm. She made the move last month from Océanie Lawyers, where she was managing director. She was also previously a partner at Holding Redlich.

Miehe has extensive experience advising Australian and foreign clients on investments and operations. She advises clients with matters in Australia and the Pacific region, including New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.

She has a focus on commercial and corporate law and M&A, as well as projects in the energy and resources, construction, and tourism sectors. She offers specialist knowledge in French, Australian, Pacific Islands businesses and cultures, as well as being bilingual in French and English.

Warren Kalinko, Keypoint chief executive, said that the firm is delighted to welcome Miehe to the team as it positions itself for further growth this year.

“Julie is a dynamic and highly regarded dual-qualified lawyer whose corporate skillset and diverse practice complements our thriving corporate team. Her cross-border expertise will enable us to enhance our corporate capabilities, as well as expand our offering to foreign clients looking to invest in the Australian and Pacific markets,” he said.

Miehe said she looked forward to contributing to Keypoint Law’s cross-border offering.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to continue to build my Asia-Pacific offering in a client-focused and fast-growing firm,” she said.
