She has logged stints in leading insurance and TPA companies in Queensland and NSW; she has also been part of statutory and commercial claims teams. Moreover, she has experience as an in-house counsel.

Meanwhile, the firm also welcomed six new senior associates.

Madeleine Eaton operates from the Adelaide office as part of the insurance and health law teams. Her background is in personal injury litigation, professional indemnity (especially medical negligence), and historical abuse claims.

Thea Paleologos, also based in Adelaide, is experienced in handling defendant public liability and personal injury claims such as catastrophic injuries, property damage claims, recovery actions, and workers compensation claims.

Adelaide-based James Spartalis has tackled casualty, professional indemnity, and recoveries in addition to developing an employment practice. He has advised insurers on complex indemnity issues and AFCA disputes. He has represented clients in unfair dismissals and general protections claims.

Abbey Stockley is based in Brisbane. She has also defended health care providers and professionals, drawing on her background as a registered nurse.

Maddison Harrington operates from the Melbourne office as an employment and industrial relations lawyer. She has litigated claims for insured and non-insured clients in various state and federal jurisdictions.

Joel Speldewinde in Perth has experience in handling professional indemnity matters. He holds a particular interest in guiding medical professionals involved in AHPRA investigations, as well as advising on personal injury matters and high-value subrogated recoveries. In particular, he has tackled complex multi-party claims arising from fires and the attendant

issues around expert evidence and quantum assessment.

Four lawyers were also included in the associate ranks, namely, Peter Dalrymple (Adelaide), Lauren Anastasiou (Melbourne), Victoria Pechlivanis (Melbourne), and Sam Rowe (Perth).

The promotions took effect on 1 January.
