Gilchrist Connell has promoted 12 lawyers, with the firm welcoming two special counsel, five senior associates and five associates.

The firm has made strides in fostering gender equality, with the partnership comprising 40% female and 60% male members as of 1 July. At the fee earner level, 61% identified as female and 39% as male, while the firm's gender split stood at 73% female and 27% male.

Since the start of the year, the firm has appointed three additional special counsel and four senior associates to strengthen its senior ranks. This move aims to consolidate expertise in areas of high client demand.

“We work hard to make sure we get the right people in the door to do good work for great clients,” said managing principal Richard Wood. “The calibre of the GC lawyers being promoted, as well as the senior hires joining us across our network, is therefore particularly pleasing”.
